The Sooraj Mukhi motif is the Sun flower, an old pattern that was a popular pattern printed on room dividers in the early 20th century. This pattern has been adopted on various objets d’art to create the Sooraj Mukhi collection.

The Sooraj Mukhi Coaster is a set of two hand carved pieces done in "rekh" style of carving. The "rekh" or line style in block printing marks the outline of the motif into which colors & details are filled. The product is made by Organic Connect, their objective has been to connect the traditional hand made skills to appropriate market places to enable fair & sustainable livelihoods.
